1. (All companies) In regards to so many different releases, wouldn't quality be better than quantity in some cases.
2. (Topps specifically) Have you considered revamping your customer service department? It is not very consumer friendly.

1) Could the companies make some different varieties of inserts/autographs that would really inspire some more set collecting? A lot of the releases seem to be the same players with the same pictures over and over. Regardless of sport, would like to see some nice on card autos showing famous moments in their sports history. Would be cool to get a card of some players that don't normally sell for a lot by themselves but together with the right picture be pretty cool. For example one could do a Dyson/Wycheck dual auto with a picture of the music city miracle. Or as a Packer fan it would be cool to have a dual auto of Favre and Freeman showing one of the most famous catches in Monday night history. Both team collectors and set collectors could have a lot of fun with some oddball inserts and autos.
2) When doing the photoshoots can the companies get something other than 00 and 88 jerseys? I understand that many of the photoshoots happen soon after the draft but there should still be enough time to make some jerseys that don't have the generic #s. Even if the team cant guaranty the player a specific # it would still be better to see someones picture on the card show a real # relative to their position instead of the standard 00 and 88 stuff.

1) Will there ever be a quality lower end product ever again?
2) What if you scratch off the redemption code too hard and it becomes unreadable? Will you still honor that redemption?

1. Over the past couple years, there is a flood of new products, new brands, etc. How are you working to avoid the collapse of the card industry, much like the early-mid 90's, when mass-production nearly killed the industry?
2. There used to be people would get excited over a rookie card of someone from their hometown in one of four or five different classic products. Now, people only care about ink, and sick looking patches. Can a card company compete with just a license from a major sport, and a bunch of cardboard, or do they need all the other bells and whistles to even stay in business now?
3. In regards to your supply chain - manufacturer -> distributor -> retailer -> breaker and/or consumer -- it seems that any time a product appears to add value to all parts of the chain, any profits are immediately sucked up by either the distributor or the retailer, leaving the consumer to search for big hits to make any return on investment. Is there any way to avoid this, or to enforce restrictions on your middle layers so that occasionally, the consumer can reap the rewards?

1) Topps: How do you justify putting game used material of a specific player into a new product when you have already issued a redemption for a card featuring the same material of the same player in an older Topps product? For example, 2013 Topps Museum Baseball had redemption cards for Framed Jersey Nameplate Cards of numerous players that had live Jersey Nameplate cards in Topps Allen & Ginter.
2) Topps: What are your plans to improve your redemption process in the near future and are you working to fulfill long-standing redemption requests before newly entered requests?

Couple of questions that I would ask:
1. Panini - why do you release so many products that have no chance of maintaining their original value, especially a week or two prior to a hind end release (ex. 2012-13 Basketball - Intrigue, Innovation) 2. Topps - your customer service is not trained to handle the call they receive. If someone finally decides to answer the phone, instead of being disconnected after waiting for 30 minutes on hold, the representatives are not equipped to answer most of even the common questions asked of them, a little more training and staff would go a long way.

Going to sound stupid, but like some product in basketball, there should be football Card Autos of Coaches in the NFL and Also Add the Ref's. I know it sounds stupid, but Some Ref's are known for either screwing games or causing crazy shit. Regarding the Coaches, just think that would be cool to collect Autos of Coaches.
If they can make lower then 25, and only on some products.

1. What are you doing to get kids back in the hobby? 2. How do you justify your retail prices when you can open a $200 box and not get $50 in value in return? 3. Why do you think producing so many products helps the hobby as a whole?

Panini - Not sure if you know this, but a "Panini Trifecta" (most common in your Immaculate Collection Bkb) is a Player in one jersey, with a patch/jersey relic from a different team, and once again a DIFFERENT name on the card for his current team ownership .. This is 2014, Photoshop can change EvErYtHiNg.. Please do (Thomas Robinson - Rockets jersey, Kings patches, Blazers card) All card companies - If an athlete has spent time in jail, do you really believe we as collectors want their autos? The answer is No. For example.. Lenny Dykstra. Not only a convicted criminal for his high-end car renting "business", he is also a main figure in the Steroids Era of baseball. We are done with this individual, as should you.. Thank you.

1. How is it that Leaf can put out a great product with only 1 redemption and have all on card autos???
2. Why does it take us so long to get our redemption?

My First question would be to UD. Now that you have obtained the exclusive licence with the NHL what can collectors expect?
My second question would be for all of the big companies. With respect to the growing online community being created, would they consider hiring someone that exclusively represents their company on sites like breakers tv. Being completely transparent of course about who they are and who they are represent. This would allow the community to ask them questions and provide feedback that seems to get lost on facebook, youtube and twitter. Having a personal connection to the company in this small but growing community would do wonders for their product development.

Many great questions have been asked already...
1. To all companies - It is such a let down to pull a sticker auto from a high end product...especially when the auto goes off the sticker, is smudged or looks awkward on the card. Is it possible to weigh the on-card autos more towards high end and leave the sticker autos for the lower end products? I believe many collectors would be willing to wait a little longer (via redemption) given the monetary investment for some of these cases/boxes. If not, can the stickers be larger to accommodate the signatures or sized (die-cut) to fit the design of the card? As technology has allowed for the production of shiny (refractor, prizm) new releases...the stickers seem to act more as a distraction to the design especially if placed incorrectly (askew or even with bubbles or creases!)
2. To all companies - Is there anyway to even out the offering of "hits" for all teams in a product? Its often deflating to have one or two teams with an overwhelming amount of autos/memorabilia while other teams have so little. Why not offer a balance of hits between the veterans and rookies (total "hits") so every collector feels that they have an equal chance of seeing their team in a product?
Finally...a wish...
I'd love to see a company really make a product for the fans. Create a product in the same fashion as the selection of all-star teams. Host a website that offers that ability for collectors to vote on the players that they want to see from each team (even if its from a select pool), then make it happen! A product for the fans created by fans seems like a winning proposition. If possible throw out some card designs for the fans to vote on as well...
Thanks!

Is it possible to make sets a little different with parallels, autograph, and memorabilia subjects, etc.? There is not much of a difference in who is included from year to year.
Could it be possible to include more veteran autographs and memorabilia without inflating the costs of mid-range products?

Why do you use so much useless packaging for a one pack product?
Going forward, will Panini focus solely on basketball?

to any company except upper deck: Can you throw in a SMALL amount of licensed college cards(autos) so those of us that also collect college have a shot at something different/nice other than 1 product(SPA)or very high end UD? Not a lot, just a chance at something here or there... even w/ UD, not everyone wants ALL college, but it would be nice to see a little bit mixed in other products.

Also, I do have to say that I very much dislike getting a card /5 and it's a one color swatch and labeled "PRIME" Edit: This was my second thing to ask btw, low #'d prime, PLEASE no 1 color swatches. Kills me to pull a "prime" /5, /10, whatever and have it be a 1 color jersey and see someone else pull the same card /75, /50, /100 or higher and have it be a sick 4-5 color logo piece! lol; huh?

Upper Deck and Leaf: Love the design of your football products, any chance of an NFL License as that would be the cherry on top for products like Leaf Metal and SP Authentic?
Panini: Love the giveaways on the Knights Lance and wrapper redemptions at the National. Any chance of a mail in program for those who cant attend the National?

Why lower the quality of products with sticker autos on "higher end products"? - Topps
Do they think the introduction of so many new products into the market in the past few years is going to negatively effect the hobby market? Over saturating autographs, rc's, etc... decreasing the value of a players card/autograph because so many are available regardless of being from multiple products? - Any and All Manufactures.
Feels like we are going full circle to the 70's 80's and early 90's where print runs were 20,000. Granted a card may be a 1/1 but when you have 5,6,7 variations of 1/1 for the same guy in the same product? Really lowers the value for the sellers and collectors.
